The DJ that
learns your rhythm.

Spotify's DJ doesn't actually know you. Cadence does. Music that adapts to your taste, your heart rate, and the moment — picks the next track for the journey, not just the playlist.

The problem

Your DJ doesn't actually learn.

"Spotify's DJ replays the same fifty songs while ignoring thousands of liked tracks. The feedback loop seems to barely move."
— A common refrain. From real users. Repeatedly.

Spotify optimizes "what songs should this user like?" Cadence optimizes "how should this listening experience evolve?" That difference is the whole product.

The thesis

Three intelligences, one experience.

Most music apps are great at picking the next track. Cadence picks the next moment.

Taste intelligence

Imports your library, your top tracks, your skips, your saves. Builds a vector that updates with every interaction — not just monthly.

Session intelligence

Sessions have shape. Warm-up, peak, cooldown. Cadence sequences each pick to fit the arc you chose — not to fill a queue.

Context intelligence

Heart rate, recovery, weather, time of day. Cadence reads the moment and tells you why each pick fits — so you can correct it.

In the player

Every pick, explained.

The AI tells you why each track was chosen — so when it's wrong, you know how to steer it.

"Why this song" on every pick

A two-line explanation grounded in your taste vector and live context. Spotify never tells you. Cadence always does.

Live context strip

See exactly what the DJ is reacting to: HR zone, recovery, weather, time. Tap any chip to learn how it shifted the pick.

Skip taxonomy that means something

Not just thumbs up / down. Six reactions — love, like, skip, not now, too intense, too boring. Each adjusts a different taste dimension.

Session arcs you can pick

Steady focus. Build to peak. Slow descent. Cadence sequences to the shape you choose, not the next-track-it-thinks-you-like.

Multi-signal

Inputs in. The right track out.

Your taste, your body, your moment. All weighted softly — never as hard filters, never as override.

Heart rate · Zone 3 From WHOOP, polled every 30s in-session
Recovery 73 · High Bias toward novelty + energy this morning
Rainy · 11°C Slight valence shift toward atmospheric
21:53 · Late evening Energy ceiling, no peak ramps after this

Track 8 of 12

Khruangbin — A Love International

Three steps to start

Set the moment. Press play.

Connect your music

Sign in with Spotify. Cadence imports your library — top tracks, liked songs, recent listens, playlists. WHOOP and Apple Health are optional.

Pick your session

Workout. Coding. Late night. Discovery. Each session has its own shape, its own taste weights, its own pacing.

Listen — and let it learn

Every skip, save, and replay updates your taste. Every "Why this" card teaches you to steer it. Every session it gets sharper.

"Sessions, not playlists."
"Journeys, not next-track recommendations."
"Your body, your moment, your music."

Cadence is a personal project, built solo, in Europe. Privacy isn't a feature here — it's the default. Your biosignal data never leaves our infrastructure. Tokens are encrypted at rest. Raw heart rate values are never logged. You can export everything, you can delete everything, any time.
